Apple iSlate Historical Tablet
On the internet a number of things are used and historical data stored changes. One thing is followed by the name of where the tools are available to monitor changes to domain names over time. After a little investigating MacRumors managed to return iSlate.com domain name as registered with Apple for an amount of time as short, ie a couple of weeks before going private.
Although the evidence is not 100% proof that this is what it is called, it is expected that Apple will use the domain for their new tablet device that is now expected to be called islation.
