Asus BR-HD3 Wireless 802.11n HDMI Kit

This is where HD Asus Wireless HDMI Kit BR3 steps in. The transceiver simple installation is fairly simple, because it has only one entrance and exit. In addition, because it uses the 802.11n wireless bandwidth is insufficient to 1080p, 1080i or 720p if it’s better that you’ll be getting to use this kit, unfortunately it is the sacrifice you have to do to avoid the physical connection between your TV source or sources.

On the positive side, although the kit uses “normal” wireless, it will at least run in the 5 GHz band. In the United Kingdom which is particularly useful because it prevents the signals separate almost too popular 2.4 GHz band in which most wireless devices operating in Britain. The result should be free of interference data transfer, which I’m sure you’ll agree is quite large with a video signal. Asus claims a working range of 30m, which seems plausible. If you live in a cave in the middle of a desert, that is. In the real world constraints such as walls and humidity should be taken into consideration.

The biggest problem with the BR-HD3 has is its price. At 400 pounds, it is not cheap by any stretch of imagination. As such, it is one of those products that you really “need” to invest in. Let’s hope the technology matures, we will see prices falling over territory for pedestrians. For now, however, is decidedly not an impulse buy. You’d be hard pushed to say look, but the two boxes are slightly different with a job as a transmitter and one receiver. It makes sense, but it would be nice if there were more than a mere indication of the different location of the port HDMI switches and power differentiation. On the HDMI transmitter is placed at the rear, while the receiver was placed on the side. Place them upside down and you’ll be treated to a blank screen on your TV. [via trustedreviews]
