Asus Plans Dual Screen eBook Reader

There is a debate about whether the e-book can beat the book (I would say that its economic, environmental and logistical inevitable), but it seems that Asus believes that the humble book can still teach the eBook reader a thing or two.

Asus Plans Dual Screen eBook Reader

The extremely diverse manufacturer Electronics this week unveiled its first entry into the digital player market and the form factor is rather familiar. With its two screens foldable and spine, the model still unnamed seems poised to shake up the industry with the company claiming it could retail for only 100 pounds – nearly half the cost of readers is currently cheaper.

Beyond the familiarity, the dual screen approach could also be a number of practical advantages. Among the contentious applications are the ability to surf the Web on a single page while keeping the page from your book open on the other and use a screen as a keyboard player doing big like a laptop. Clever Stuff.Talk is that this new drive will debut in time for Christmas may be just one of many models from Asus. This sector is growing. [via trustedreviews]
