Canon EOS 1D Mk IV Digital Camera
As I reported last week, Canon announced the launch of the new EOS 1D Mk IV. This is not for sale until the end of December, but earlier this week, I attended the Canon Pro Photo Solutions 09 show at the Business Design Center in London, where I could try a sample of pre Production of the new camera.

Since the launch of the original EOS-1D in 2001, the 1D series has been the camera of choice for many people, professional photographers high level, especially photojournalists, sports photographers and wildlife, for which his high-speed performance, reliability and robust construction are weather resistant as important as its class for best picture quality. With the Canon 1D Mk IV has responded to feedback from professional users and develop and improve all of these qualities. I suspect that there may have also been some impetus to upstage the Nikon Camera photojournalism specialist D3S, which is the only competition EOS-1D Mk IV real.
Handling the 1D Mk IV for the first time it is impossible not be impressed. It’s a big, heavy camera that weighs 1.2 kilograms, even without a lens, and the immediate impression is a feeling of reliability and competence. Canon has put much effort into the ergonomics of the body as in the performance of internal components, and it shows. In both vertical and horizontal positions of the handle is comfortable and safe, and controls fall perfectly under the fingers for fast and efficient. The LCD monitor is also improved superb, a three-inch 920,000-dot screen with a viewing angle of 170 degrees. To reduce glare and internal reflection of the gap between the screen itself and the scratch resistant glass cover was filled with a transparent plastic, which also render the image screen appear closer to the surface. The result is a screen clear, bright and exceptionally strong works well in all lighting conditions. [via trustedreviews]
