So far, however, they were only used as light sources for small projectors low light because of high production sources capable of producing light green have not been possible for mass production . Casio has changed all that by creating an original mercury hybrid light source capable of generating high brightness by combining a laser, a fluorescent element and an LED. Casio has managed to high production of green light, which has been considered difficult with light sources in conventional semiconductors, very effective conversion of laser light blue light green, using the fluorescent component. The light of high brightness of 2000 lumens or more was then achieved by projecting a laser light blue, light green converts the blue laser light with the element fluorescent light emitted by a red LED through an on-chip DLP screen.

The use of laser and LED light source is hybrid Casio Green Slim projectors projectors first-world data fairly light (2000-3000 lumens) for projection in a well lit, without using a mercury lamp high pressure. Usage characteristics have also been greatly improved and the body, no bigger than the size of a standard 8 ½ x 11 piece of paper is thin (1.7 inches) and lightweight (5 lbs). Additional qualities include: the projector produces vivid colors through improved purity of color, light source lasts about 20,000 hours, to projecting the maximum brightness is possible in a minimum of eight seconds and no cooling is necessary to turn the lights off.
