Dell PowerVault DL2100 Backup Small Medium Enterprises

Dell launched the PowerVault DL2100 powered by Symantec Backup Exec for small and medium enterprises. . This is the only integrated backup to disk backup solution from Symantec and Dell and also the industry’s first and only integrated solution for faster disk and recovery that allows you to start protecting your data only 18 minutes.

Dell PowerVault DL2100 Backup Solution

Two versions are available, the value series gets an Intel Xeon E5520 2.26GHz processor 6GB RAM and two hard drives of 250 GB 720ROM while Model Pack Performance Optimized Dual E5520, 24GB memory and up 2TB of storage. They have an optical drive bay slim and few PCI slots for expansion. The expansion band is also available.

According to Dell, the PowerVault DL2100 disc offers up to 55% faster based backups and recoveries of 49% faster than tape backup. It starts at under $ 8600. [via itechnews]
