Hercules Dualpix HD 720p Webcams

It seems that Microsoft is not the only one who makes new webcams 720p as Hercules has announced the Dualpix HD 720p.The Hercules Dualpix HD 720p up to its name as it shoots in 720p resolution HD video with 1280 x 720 resolution at 30 frames per second with a 16 / 9.As for the photo resolution, it offers 5 megapixels in interpolated mode, and it has a 1 CMOS sensor for high quality images even in low light. There is also a high quality microphone to sound good as well.

The lens focusing system allows a wide viewing angle, which is, according to my source: “Awesome! Now you can be seen from head to foot.”It uses USB 2.0 Video Class (UVC) interface for high speed transfers for “unmanned installation” for Windows XP SP2, Vista and Windows 7.

There is only one problem. Microsoft and Hercules are saying they have the first webcam that works at 720p. Microsoft LifeCam says is the first, but all I have to say is this: Webcams have come a long way from the low resolution, frame rate low things they were a while ago.Well, I think the first 720p webcam to reach the market can claim that one and Hercules Dualpix HD720p will next month for $ 60.
