Intel Core i5 CPU Design Clarkdale Memory

The Intel Core i5 661 is the first CPU, we have seen a new series based on the new Intel design Clarkdale and lack of a better description it is located somewhere near the top end of the lower half of range current Intel CPU-ups. In other words, a sort of “middle range”.

Intel Core i5

This dual-core is manufactured on Intel’s new 32nm manufacturing process and integrates a graphics chip on the packaging, but not on the same chip (the graph uses a 45nm process). Collectively, these new chips will be available under the Core i5 6xx and 5xx Core i3 numbering systems.

The main difference between these two periods is that the 600 has Turbo Boost while the 500s do not have. Turbo Boost is the ability to overclock the processor automatically one or more of its cores depend on the workload. When activated, the CPU will always try to work at its maximum speed that, if all nuclei are subjected to a load, will probably speed reference. However, if only part of the nuclei are subjected to a load, they are not used rhythmic back and the additional thermal margin is used to overclock the remaining carrots resulting in better performance.

Clarkdale also takes advantage of Simultaneous Multi-Threading (SMT), which is the ability of the heart for each processor to execute two threads simultaneously, speeding operations and multi-threaded multitasking. Essentially, the CPU appears that the operating system as has twice as many cores as it does, but in reality it is simply to optimize the order in which it executes the code if you end up with a improved performance. However, improvement does not compete with that of two physical cores.[via trustedreviews]
