iPhone OS 4.0 Multi-tasking Smartphone

When combined to rival the iPhone 3GS are compared to each other, there are often many pro and con are listed, however, a con uniform for all devices iPhone OS from Apple is that multi-tasking n ‘ is not possible.

One advantage of a device that does not multi-task, is to always run at optimum speed (as there are applications using less memory and processing power), but with all the advanced equipment in today’s high-end smartphones maybe Apple should start thinking about multi-tasking in future versions of iPhone OS.

So far the response from Apple for multitasking is push notifications, although notifications are best to push the battery life of handsets, they are dependent on data connections, not only that, but they offer rather limited functionality. [via product-reviews]
