KDDI iida Polaris Robot Mobile Phones
When I saw the iida Polaris KDDI, I thought the idea was to put your cell phone into a ball like a hamster so he is free to roam the room. Of course, this is a bit stupid, is not it? It’s not like your phone is a living thing that wants to explore.Of course, we live in a technological age where designers often do things simply because they can, and I was actually willing to believe that this stock is that Polaris does iida. Unfortunately, my dreams of a cellular mechanism Hamster Ball were shattered as I found out that the unit ball is used only for support, no transportation.

When the user places the phone in the cradle, it begins a process of collecting data such as suggestions for healthy food companies updated news and weather information. The user can open the lid of fancy on the Polaris and use the phone as a remote control to access their television. You might ask: why in the world, someone would need a cradle of robotics to do. You’re not alone. After all, Unity4Life offers similar controls from a BlackBerry. For what is a phone goes, it looks like your typical touchscreen phones that have only been so popular since its beginning with an “i”.
The iida Polaris is still in concept form at the moment, but unless this cradle does roll around the room, I am not convinced he should be put into production. [via coolest-gadgets]
