Lanyu, Shenzhen China, the book offers LY-EB01 is probably the cheapest laptop in the world costing just 666 Chinese yuan (U.S. $ 98). Instead of integrating NETBOOK x86 processors, the eBook is stimulated by a 266 MHz ARM processor AK7802Q216 and packs 128 MB of RAM.

The eBook Lanyu LY-EB01 looks more like a mobile Internet device with a 7-inch 800 × 480 LCD, WiFi, Ethernet, QWERTY keyboard, trackpad, and an SD / MMC card slot. It runs WinCE 5.0 OS. As tested by shanzhaiben, the LY-EB01 is capable of 720p RMVB playback. Cheapest laptop measures 213.5mm x 141.8mm x 30.8mm and weighs only 0.6 kg. [via itechnews]
