Lenovo Brings Core i7 X200 Large Screen Notebook

As expected, very little has changed outside of these models with the familiar love / hate design Thinkpad (I’m Feeling the love) of the new X201T “X201 ‘,’ X201S ‘and’ ‘ (compressed) and ‘W701′ / ‘W701ds “all substantially the same as before.

Lenovo Brings Core i7 X200 Notebook

Where do they get interesting, however, is inside with the X201, given a choice of double heart 2.66GHz Core i7 and Core i5 2.4 GHz and 2.53 GHz CPU, while the thinner and X201S X201T given low-voltage 2GHz and 2.13GHz Core i7. Screens 1200 x 800 resolution are as familiar (the X201S has an option 1440 x 900), although 8 GB of RAM can now be specified along with 2MP webcam, 500GB SSD storage HDD/128GB and extras of WiMAX and 3G.

Irritants? Lenovo still refuses to put the HDMI ports on its line business ’supposedly’ (hey, business-types always hook up laptops and projectors to large screen TVs, you know?) And the use of integrated Intel graphics. We expect the price and availability of the United Kingdom, but in the U.S. Lenovo will start selling them at any moment with the X201, X201S and X201T from $ 1.199, $ 1.599 and $ 1,549 respectively.

As for the W701 and its counterpart crazy double screen W701ds (successor of the W700 and W700ds) they follow a similar pattern with the Core i7-920 Extreme and Core i7-820 QM Quad Core Desktop brining performance. Graphics get a boost too much choice with the new Nvidia Quadro FX 2800M GPU and 3800m, while those with unlimited funds can collaborate RAID a pair of SSD. The W701 arrives for a wince-inducing $ 2,199, while the W701ds gives us all the shakes at $ 3799. [via trustedreviews]
