Medion Akoya E3211 CULV 13.3in Business Notebook

Any person who broke into a store Lidl Medion know the name. This Germany-based maker of PC is known for its affordable, portable computers and high-specification PCs, especially those sold at knock down prices ridiculous in that retailer. Today, we’re looking at the Medion Akoya E3211, laptop 13.3in is one of the entrants to the business in the growing sector Culv Intel.

One thing that separates the E3211 from similar offerings such as the Acer TravelMate 8371 synopsis is the presence of an optical drive. Typically, in this part of the market at least, optical drives are present only in models like the 14in Acer 4810T or equivalent. Having an optical drive does not mean the Medion is slim as the competing offers, weighing 1.7 kilograms and measures 31.5 mm thick, but if you do use it regularly, but optical media to find a 14in laptop too large, then this could be the solution for you.

From £ 499.99 own online store Medion’s, it’s a very good market. This accessibility is reflected in the design and construction quality, however. While the glossy black lid and silver body clear are harmless, they lend the E3211 a very dull, unimaginative exterior. As is usually the case with Medion, then it’s all about “inner beauty”. Yes, the single heart, 1.3GHz Intel Pentium SU2700 is quite demanding, but it is expected at this price point and the E3211 is this done in other departments. In addition to the optical drive there is an abundance of 4 GB of DDR2 RAM on board, and a capacity of 320 GB hard drive. Wireless-N Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet are also present, if you do not have to sacrifice the network speed and processing power.

Connectivity is reasonable, with three USB ports, VGA, Gigabit Ethernet, a memory card reader, microphone and headphone jacks and a 34mm ExpressCard slot included, but the lack of HDMI is another measure to reduce costs. We can understand this failure on a cheap machine like that, but we always prefer to see the opposite. [via trustedreviews]
