Olympus Mju-7010 12 Megapixel Ultra Compact Digital Camera

I must admit that I have trouble keeping up with Olympus compact range, especially the mju series of premium. It seems to accumulate new models at an astonishing pace, a top-of-scope camera that I reviewed in April is not even listed on the website of the company, while two new models recently been added. I’ll look at the new adventure show Tough mju-6010 weeks coming, but now I take a look at the more down-to-earth mju-7010, a 12-megapixel ultra-compact with a thin 7x zoom lens with wide angle equivalent to 28mm.

For a significant price £ 200, the Mju-7010 will be seated on a crowded shelf in the store cameras alongside heavyweight competition as the Panasonic FX60, the Canon IXUS 110 IS, Fuji FinePix F200 EXR, the Sony W290, the Nikon S630 and the new Pentax Optio P80. Zoom-compact are in vogue right now, and it seems everyone wants a piece of cake.

The Mju-7010 the main selling point is its longer than the average 7x zoom range, equivalent to 28-196mm. The range mju Olumpus already contains a good wide zoom model, the Mju-9000, which has a 10x zoom equivalent to 28-280mm. However, the Mju-7010 is lighter and more compact than his team mate, weighing 140g with battery and only 26.2 mm thick. Even at full zoom extension is only 60mm from front to rear.
