Olympus PEN E-P2 – 12.3 Megapixel Digital Camera
Micro Four Thirds lovers, break your piggy banks now! Olympus PEN E-P2 digital camera has finally been sold after being announced all the way back in early November, but the price is even easier to swallow. Amazon and many other retailers have the E-P2 – which packs a 12.3 megapixel sensor and support interchangeable lenses in a compact package – priced at $ 1,099.
Your money gets you the E-P2 itself, with 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 Zuiko Digital Zoom and the new electronic viewfinder that can be used – with permission of the claw PEN – instead of 3 inch Live View LCD. Compared to the original PEN E-P1 (which will remain on sale alongside the new model) Olympus have added a continuous autofocus tracking, which can be used both still and video modes, among a few other tweaks.
We still see ads for attaching optional microphone adapter, which also uses E-P2 hip (but not at the same time as the electronic viewfinder, it is interesting to note). Expensive niche then, and somewhat, but there are those who can afford it will probably be quite happy with their new Olympus Dinky. [via slashgear]
