Panasonic Hard Recorder DIGA Blu-ray
Panasonic Japan has announced five new DIGA Hard Drive / Blu-ray combo digital video recorders, including the DIGA DMR-BW970 with 2 TB of hard drive, replacing the DMR-BW930. The 320GB DMR-BW970 can record up to 320 hours of HD video in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format 12.9Mbps.

Other than the 2 TB model, Panasonic introduces the 1TB DMR-BW870, 500GB DMR-BW770, 320GB DMR-BW570 and single tuner 320GB DMR-BR570. All these Blu-ray/HDD recorder offers essentially the same characteristics, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD, DTS-HD audio decoding. They offer HDMI output, SDHC card slot and support VIERA Link
Another record on the HDD, the new DIGA recorders also record to Blu-ray and DVD-R/DVD-RAM media. The built-in Blu-ray drive can write to BD-RW 2X BD-R up to 6X, DVD-R at 16X, DVD-RAM at 5x. They have integrated digital and analog tuners.
He also announced the Panasonic DIGA DMR-BR670V a HDD / Blu-ray with VHS VCR recorder also. It serves as a successor to the DMR-BR630V. [via itechnews]
