Razer Naga MMO Games Mouse

Razer has a talent for the crank to the unusual, and Boomslang first edition, the equipment also had a thing for the development of mouse game that demanded respect. The Naga has recently announced (which is available today to customers, by the way) is one of the mice even stranger that no fewer than 12 buttons on the left side and a promise to make your game MMO experience more enjoyable. Beside the creature wired USB, Razer has also introduced a surface clearly huge game, $ 49.99 Mesasoma. We were able to spend time with each of these devices, so hop on down to the gallery for a closer look at the past and the break for a few impressions.

Razer Naga MMO mouse

For beginners, this instrument of $ 79.99 mousing greatness does not come cheap, and certainly not for everyone. It is suitable for those who are frequently busy with all the raids at night and something called “leveling up,” so if you spend most of your computing time surfing TMZ, fighting to the next level of Call of Duty or just write your thesis next, there is probably no reason for you to get your hard earned money in the Naga. However, if you’re a World of Warcraft freak or just can not get enough of any multiplayer game is that you play, there are actually a whole little reason to give this look a. 12, to be precise.

12 is the number of dedicated keys slapped hard on the left side of the Naga, and by default, they reproduce the keypad. In other words, if you run ‘Calculator’ on your computer, you can actually do your math homework using the grid of numbers on the side of the mouse. A sudden switch in the grid changes from “line” of “numeric” keys to the place as a top, bottom, left and right. The magic of these keys, it is really only feel when you enter the MMO of your choice. On a Windows desktop, you probably never use. The suite currently does not allow for customization in Windows (for example, if you want to make your ‘1 ‘key ACT as “Paste”, could not – and if you listen to Razer, this feature would not hurt), but the options are virtually unlimited once you’re in the field of digital games.

Most every major MMO Nice play with the ability to adjust to the Naga, giving the user control over the keys to which commands. But even then, the question remains: These buttons are easy / convenient to Mash? To be totally frank, it takes some getting used to. At first you will feel as if 12 keys are shattered too close together, but after a while you will feel for her. We could never feel completely comfortable with the layout (look, beside a mouse did not surface much more), but Razer did a great job with laying ‘em out in a way that best benefits of the space is there. In short, the hardcore MMO players will not have a hard time getting used to the grid. They are already accustomed to using the keys to the myriad things have everything within easy thumb should actually feel like an upgrade.

As with everything else about the mouse? It’s a Razer, through and through. The construction quality is top notch, non-skid feet function as expected, and the keys left / right mouse have the perfect amount of travel. The scroll wheel is a joy to use, but unable to convert it to a wireless mouse will probably nag the anti-cable crowd. Surprisingly, the high arc current due to the grid of keys does not bother us at all, we moused with the naga in an office environment for a few hours and it was never really uncomfortable. Naturally, the light blue accent was a real treat if you like that sort of thing, but fortunately, Razer provides an option to disable the glow of those who are too old (or too square) to enjoy. Razer claims that Naga has a 5600dpi sensor, and when our hands are not nearly balanced enough to really put to the test, we can say with certainty that it was absolutely accurate enough for us. We can not imagine anyone really need to enjoy what this sensor can offer, but the snipers will not present much more to gripe when people stalking.

Finally, the playing surface Megasoma is probably the best mat we have ever had the pleasure of throwing our mouse, but if you’re a hardcore gamer with cash to spare, we could never justify the investment of 50 bones on a mouse pad. We want to say is a mouse pad. A huge, wonderfully adherent (bottom), incredibly smooth (top), mouse pad, mouse mat, but still. As for the value of the Naga? For aficionados of MMO, the $ 80 application is completely justified. You put these 12 side buttons to use immediately, and even the off chance you find yourself doing something other than farming gold, you can always take advantage of a mouse, says comfortable. Oh, and it’s worth pointing out that while Razer has a history of catering for left-handed, left-handers in the crowd will probably find it difficult to use 12 buttons with their new little finger. If you can master it, however, bravo to you. [via engadget]
