Roth Audio OLi 3 Home Cinema Speakers System
This 5.1-channel system is reconstituted from separate speakers in the current range of Roth. At the front there is a pair of 3s Oli floorstanders, the rights center channel are processed by the C2 Oli for the back of the room you get a pair of OLi1s and the subwoofer of choice is the KH2 Oli. The system OLi3 is one of three packages range from Roth and is the most expensive of the trio because of the column fronts.
The cheapest is the system OLi1 (SRP £ 450), which comes with four 1s Oli for the front and rear, while the 2 systems Oli (SRP £ 550) comes with four 2s Oli, better specced version of the ‘OLI 1. After the uprising of Oli 3 facades of their boxes, it’s hard to believe they only cost £ 250 separately. The build quality is exceptional, with solid wood cabinets, dark shiny black lacquer panels, and a thick stable base. They are not the most elegant or glamorous looking, but at 870 mm above they are not nearly as imposing as some speakers column.
On the back of each OLi3 are two pairs of terminals for bi-wiring purposes, a declaration of their intention audiophile – certainly more impressive than the SpringClip found on the Klipsch system. The use Oli3s Dead Roth as chief technology officer, or Daltech depreciation for you and me. It aims to reduce distortion through the strategic placement of acoustic attenuation within the firm, giving them a firm, robust structure which should make all the difference when playing movies loud. They also include two 5.25in woven fiberglass woofers and one hybrid polymer integrated 1in soft dome tweeter positioned above them, which carry a frequency response between 45Hz and 20kHz.
