Scan 3XS i3 OC Gaming PC

Scan 3XS OC i3 comes packed in more padding than any other PC we’ve seen, even with the inside of the case literally stuffed with insulation to protect its valuable components during transit. Despite the huge box it came in the case itself is small by the standards of play and, with the SE i5 Hercules Infinity before it is one of the lightest PC tower to come through our offices.

Although it also bears the logo of scanning silver letters in relief, the case for this system is a CoolerMaster Elite 335. On the black tower outside of this environment is certainly a specific matter, composed of smooth steel panels on the sides and a honeycomb metal mesh front ground with a plastic mat and shiny surround connectivity panel plastic . At the front of the case, you will find a black matte Sony 24x DVD burner, and it is nice to see that this is a SATA model when some assemblers still shipping machines with optical EIDE disks. Connectivity is here as fundamental as whether it gets, with only two USB 2.0 ports, plus 3.5mm jacks for headphones and microphone next to the power button backlit blue and pinhole reset button.

Around the back, on the other hand, is a veritable plethora of connections. There are six USB ports, and sockets FireWire/1394 eSATA, Gigabit Ethernet, a single PS2 mouse / keyboard port, six analog jacks and digital optical audio, VGA, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort integrated graphics motherboard . These are licensed by the video card, but offers even more by sharing the analog output with a second dual DVI output. [via trustedreviews]
