MSI Demos Dual Screen Netbook

Catching our eyes in a quiet part of the Mobile World Congress this week was MSI who had this amazing creature hidden in its booth. A prototype, similar to the box OLPC XO-2, it drops a physical keyboard in favor of two monitors with a virtual keyboard popping up when needed.

“We think it has potential,” said a spokesman for MSI, but obviously two screens make a product more expensive than having one and we can not produce even a price we believe It would be interesting to customers. “

Technical solutions (Techsol) launches the new TPC-43C, a low carbon footprint by computer touch panel. The TPC-43C Compact is powered by a Medallion CPU module with a 32-bit ARM9, 32 KB of cache, 64 MB of SDRAM and 128MB NAND Flash. The TPC-43C computer touch screen supports Power-Over-Ethernet (PoE) which allows users to use a single CAT5 cable to the power and Ethernet.

It gets a 4.3 inch 480 × 272 color LCD touch panel display to landscape mode with backlight LEDs. The device has a hidden SD card / MMC card slot, USB host and a serial interface RS232. It comes pre-loaded with Linux 2.6.3x Medallion with drivers pre-installed. Techsol Medallion TPC-43C costs $ 425 and you must order at least 10 units. [via itechnews]
