Sharp Displays Touchscreen Notebook

Sharp have done their part for this year’s Ceatec. With the revelation of Netwalker, I have done my part to get to know what gift to my geek friends this holiday season (more imports from Japan in May if BE). The Netwalker comes as lower than normal notebook with a 5-inch touchscreen, Ubuntu OS (nice!), USB, Wi-Fi, 4GB of memory, microSD expansion and a battery that has enough juice to last 10 hours.

The Netwalker Sharp is set to be sold about 44,800 yen (~ $ 500) and is expected in Japan by the end of October. I really hope that we get more global. [via newlaunches]
