Thecus 7 Bay NAS Powerful Connect Internet

Thecus Technology has something for the crazy speed of this month as the “N7700PRO, the successor aptly named for the N7700. As you saw in May SIN Atom processor packaging, the PRO would be a Laptop upscale proud with a Core 2 Duo CPU and 4 GB of RAM making it one of NAS most powerful around.

Thecus Launches 7 Bay NAS

When the speed is greater potential is yet in terms of connectivity, since the PRO has a PCI-e slot for data speeds of 300 MB per second when adding a PCI-E 10Gb Ethernet adapter! Of course, as with performance on tap, you will need storage and PRO is the first bay Seven (3.5 inches) NAS box on the market which means it can hold up to 14TB. Feature stackable ‘Thecus’ also allows up to five RFOs to be connected and controlled by a single master unit.

What can you do with this storage? Multiple RAID modes are supported including RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 and JBOD functions so you can choose your own level of redundancy while Ext3, XFS and ZFS file systems are compatible. Windows, Mac and Linux all play so well while the PRO is currently in full certification VMware. [via trustedreviews]
