Toshiba Dynadock U10 USB Video Docking Laptops

Our first taste of convenience liberating this was the original Toshiba Dynadock we reviewed last year. It was a very promising product at the time, but was not without some problems. It is now updated, however, the addition of a new iteration of technology DisplayLink and with her support for screen resolution 1920 x 1200. Given the popularity of 24in displays and the increasing adoption of “Full HD” 22in screens, it is an important addition.

There are one or two other changes, too. Toshiba no longer sells different versions of DVI and VGA, combining the two into one unit, but it has eliminated legacy serial port as a consequence. As consequences go is a very palatable! Not that you can use both at the same time, it’s still beyond technology, DisplayLink’s. However, you can still enjoy the actual experience of a triple display of a laptop: a monitor connected to the Dynadock, one for the laptop and clean display of the laptop being the third.

This is a nice trick to pull, but chances are most people will simply use the Dynadock to add capacity to host a laptop that does not have its own convenience dock connector. Given more and more people are choosing to use notebooks instead of desktops, it’s a fair bet many people are in such a situation. The Dynadock U10 is compact and discreet. Connectivity is extensive, consisting of six USB ports (4x rear, 2x front), DVI and VGA, optical audio output and stereo jack, a 10/100 Ethernet port and the USB upstream port to connect your laptop.
