Yahoo Acquire Xoopit New Home Page
Following recent news of Yahoo and its new home page, Yahoo has confirmed they are to acquire XOOPIT, who we know that Gmail offers an add-on tool. XOOPIT is based in San Francisco and offers a number of tools for mining and the redistribution of photos and videos, and other records in building web-based email clients.

According to The Register, The Wall Street Journal reported that Yahoo is in the final stages of negotiations. The search engine giant has refused to comment on the story, but finally announced they intend to acquire start-ups.
XOOPIT have already worked with Yahoo with its latest version of Yahoo! Mail, but XOOPIT the original product is a Firefox add-on for the Gmail service from Google. Yahoo has said they will continue to support the version of Gmail for now, but it is not certain that the future of this support. [via product-reviews]
